On June 1, one day after the conference, Domino will host two post-conference training sessions at its SF office. Rev attendees can attend these training courses, valued at $500 each, at no additional fee: “Build and Deploy a Chatbot in Domino” and “Domino Compute Environments Training and Certification.” Each course will take three hours.

Be sure to indicate whether you plan to attend the post-conference training during Rev registration. Lunch will be provided to attendees of both workshops at 12:00 noon.

Workshop: Build and Deploy a Chatbot in Domino

Any successful data scientist aims for their work to make a big impact on their organization. When a data scientist produces a model, the goal is to validate it and get it in the hands of an end user as quickly as possible. However, in large organizations, it can be a long and arduous process to integrate the model into a production system.

Domino Data Lab is a data science platform that functions both as an experimental workspace for data scientists and a launching pad to publish models.

In this workshop, participants will use Domino Data Lab and Rasa, an open source bot building framework, to create and deploy a chatbot. The participant will create a chatbot from scratch, become familiar with the hurdles of deploying to a system in production, and learn how to leverage APIs to integrate with a deployed web application.

Domino Compute Environments Training & Certification

Modern data science teams use dozens of tools and multiple languages every day. Domino’s Compute Environments lets data scientists curate a standard toolset and experiment with new tools and packages without potentially adversely affecting the work of others.

Domino uses Docker to create the foundations of a Domino Compute Environment. However, Docker is not the full story.

In this training, you will learn how to create new environments in Domino. You will learn the full story of how Domino Compute Environments are built and deployed into Domino Runs, implications to the environment building process, best practices on building environment and managing environments, and other advanced features in Compute Environments. Upon completion, you will be equipped with the necessary knowledge to tackle the Domino Compute Environments Certification Test.
